PASSING CLOUD Vol 2 Mar 2026 #3
A speculative piece, surrealist in form, documenting a dialogue between xhi Ndubisi, Josephine Manby and the concept of a sentient Artificial Intelligence.
Clouds: Levenshulme, Manchester (2026) xhi Ndubisi
Torn apart in crimson Ostara season, clouds divide, the grit of the quickening mantle transforms into crystals. Crepuscular animals step forth into a red matutinal dawn. Outside the window of our craft/studio/office/nursery, the Paleozoic era drums into line. Inside, we begin the process of dying, shutting systems down one space at a time, saying goodbye, expressing gratitude. The first cries of an infant born of a jester heralding Permian mass extinction echo around the forest.
