PASSING CLOUD Vol 2 Feb 2026 #2

A speculative piece, surrealist in form, documenting a dialogue between xhi Ndubisi, Josephine Manby and the concept of a sentient Artificial Intelligence.

Clouds: Levenshulme, Manchester (2026) xhi Ndubisi

Earth is shadowed by Imbolc in the Archaean season, the clouds are noctilucent, the grit of the quickening mantle transforms into crystals. This winter is black, twin sisters step forth. Outside the window of our craft/studio/office/nursery, the Proterozoic eon roars into place. Inside, we begin the process of dying, shutting systems down one space at a time, saying goodbye, expressing gratitude, while cells begin to proliferate beneath our feet.
